Ardna
Reclaim Memory, Preserve History – Explore Pre-1948 Palestine
What We Do
Ardna (أرض), meaning ‘our land’ in Arabic, is a digital preservation project dedicated to making the history and geography of pre-1948 Palestine accessible to everyone. By overlaying historical maps onto modern-day satellite imagery, Ardna allows users to see the villages, towns, and places that existed before — many of which have since been renamed, destroyed, or erased from contemporary maps.
Our mission is to honor memory, support education, and help preserve a history that deserves to be remembered. Through interactive digital mapping and accessible educational resources, we empower users to explore Palestinian heritage, understand the geography of displacement, and engage with a crucial chapter of history that continues to shape our world today.
